CAMP WIRKSHOP 2019!
New Wirkshop Announcement!
We are excited to announce another Camp Wirkshop. A deep story telling photography workshop that gives back.
Go back in time to summer camp and join us for an intense multi-media story-telling learning experience that will fill your heart.
Attendee’s will spend the week embedded inside Camp Encourage, a summer camp for kids on the Autism spectrum. While there, students of Camp Wirkshop will practice honing their documentary storytelling photography skills while diving into a story assignment that will end with the creation of a multimedia film involving still photographs, audio capture, and video interview.
Camp Wirkshop is for mid level or advanced photographers who want to improve their story telling technique. It is also a multimedia storytelling workshop for photographers who want to think beyond the still frame to tell better stories for their clients.
Students will spend the week working together in teams of two to photograph and create a multimedia film about an assigned subject. We start the week learning about using documentary photographer for a client and the art of interviewing subjects, then dive into the thick of Camp Encourage were we provide hands on training in photojournalism and multimedia storytelling. Each team leaves on Friday with a completed Multimedia film and a set of images ready to be used by Camp Encourage to help in the next years fund raising efforts.
